About

Creative Timbers Studio is a small  furniture workshop/studio and cabinet maker in Hereford, where design and craftsmanship come together to translate our clients' ideas into beautiful pieces of furniture. Founded and run by designer-maker Roma Korjakins in 2010, we work primarily to commission; producing one-off pieces of bespoke furniture and fitted joinery. When time allows we also love to play with the design to make speculative pieces for exhibitions, of which some popular items are available to order directly from the website and are crafted and delivered to the customers' doorstep. Our clients are found right across Britain as well as worldwide, in addition we work with many interior designers and architects to deliver splendid results. The home of Creative Timbers Studio is an historic barn and dovecote in the South Herefordshire village of Wormbridge, near the Welsh border, who's charm has inspired many elements in the furniture designs.

Comissioning Process

Commissioning a piece of bespoke furniture may seem a nightmare, but it is actually straightforward. Our aim is to make the process, stress-free, simple and enjoyable from start to finish.

The first step is to meet us and express your vision of the design. Working closely with you we will come to a conclusion that you are completely happy with or, perhaps, you already have a design, we will consult with you how to make it work in the most effective way. Simply fill in contact form, call or e-mail us, with no obligations.

Second step: work on the design. We will produce detailed drawings, estimated cost and time. At this stage, if you are happy with everything and willing to proceed with the project, we will ask you to ledge the deposit which, is usually around 30-40% (depending on the materials cost).  Please note that if a commission is withdrawn at the design stage, a minimum design fee of £200 may be charged and all presented drawings and samples must be returned. All designs produced are copyright of Creative Timbers Studio and should not be reproduced elsewhere without prior consent.

Third step: manufacturing. We will update you with the progress along the way. Also you are more than welcome to visit workshop to evaluate progress yourself and make small adjustments to the design if needed.

Final step: We will deliver commissioned piece by ourselves and fit it. Remaining payment will be asked on completion. Job done!
